Case Study: Regent ArcadeView Website

The Regent Arcade is Cheltenham’s largest shopping centre. We worked closely with the centre management to analyse and research exactly what was required from a brand new web site we were asked to develop.

Regent Arcade Website

Web site development considerations:

  1. The management wanted to be able to efficiently update the site’s content
  2. The site needed an interactive store guide
  3. The site had to conform to web standards and accessibility
  4. The site needed to be developed with search engine optimisation in mind
  5. The site required some eye catching visuals
  6. The site needed a reliable host

Regent Arcade CMS

We built the web site using a content management system that would allow the management to edit the site content, including modular news items and slide show header images. After site development we provided user documentation and tutorials to ensure the management could confidently use the system.

Interactive Store Guide

The interactive store guide allows the user to view the layout of stores within the centre, viewing brief details when the cursor is over a particular store, and taken to more detailed information and imagery when the store is clicked.

3D Visuals

We created a 3d visualisation of the shopping centre. This was to be used within the site to add some eye-catching visuals, and also to give new shoppers a feel for the centre.

Launch Day

For the web site launch we created roll up banners to sit alongside a large plasma screen in the middle of the centre. The plasma screen displayed a show reel that included the 3d tour of the Regent Arcade.

Print Material

A printed store guide was produced, and used within the centre to assist and improve customer’s shopping experience, as well as promoting the web site and centre special offers and news.
